September 22, 2025 · review of Hopkins Air Conditioning

Technician was prompt. Right after Technician departed my system started making a loud noise which it was not making before his maintenance. I called Hopkins immediately and they sent the technician back to my house to determine what was causing the problem. He identified the issue as something with the drainage pump which he resolved. The pump now intermittently is making the same loud noise. I'll live with it until I replace the 17 year old system. I chose not to go with Hopkin's Rheem system and will go with a company who will install a Daikin system at @2K USD less.

I’ve been using this company since before they switched owners and the prices used to be great. Now I was quoted $460 to vacuum a drain line. This is my second astronomical quote from them and I won’t be calling them again

Mr. Devlin, Your expectations of paying $130 to unclog a heavily impacted drain line due to a lack of routine maintenance is unreasonable. Everything cost more is 2024 not just for the consumer but as business as well. There is a reason First Air is no longer servicing you as their pricing was just not profitable. Also, the old owners have informed me as I understand you complained every time First Air came out and gave you prices you was also trying to negotiate prices with them. We are not into "Lets make a deal" business we are an air conditioning business. We have been in business since 1988 and have seen a lot of price increases since then. We gave you a price and you declined. That is your right. To leave a 1 star review simply over a quoted price is unfair when you was happy otherwise with our service we provided. Just so anyone reading this review understands that price of $463.50 included a 1 year maintenance agreement that allowed us to come back out 2 more times in the next year to PREVENT problems like yours. So the price was just not for that service that day but additionally for 2 more services moving forward. Good luck on your adventures of finding the cheapest man to do your work. The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the cheap price is forgotten.

The next day I spoke to John regarding my house inspection report concerns, and he provide me with an estimate and services to take care of the issues. I look forward to working with Hopkins, they are professionals that care about resolving home owners HVAC problems. Eddy 01:14:22 Today Xavier came out and fixed my ac and provide advise on the other units within the house, this is a wonderful company!!!

LIFESAVER. Our AC went out in the middle of a very hot Florida day, we have a little one so finding something quickly was extra important. David arrived a few hours after our call and promptly got our AC back up and running! We had called a few other AC companies before we were recommended this one and had been scheduled days out, so we were relieved to be fit in so promptly to their schedule. Glad to have a Go-to quality AC company!
