I am very disappointed with two experiences I had with Hopkins AC. I needed a new AC at a property and had received several estimates from Hopkins and 2 other vendors. The Hopkins estimate was $8000.00 dollars for the unit and one of the other estimates was $5000.00 so I selected this vendor. At that time I had Hopkins for my annual maintenance plan and when I called them to do a service 6 months after the new unit was installed they would not service my AC unit because I did not purchase it from them. I was shocked at this decision and called the owner who was not very nice in terms of customer service. He had every excuse in the world as to why his quote was 3000.00 more than the vendor I selected. I immediatley told him I wanted to cancel my service with them and be refunded the yearly maintenance contract charge, which he did. I then had another property under contract with Hopkins and they came out and serviced the unit but when I asked why they left all the construction dust that had built up in the unit due to building concrete restoration I was told by the technician that he would come back and clean the unit. He even took pictures of the dust in the unit. I waited for his follow up and it never happened. Six months later the unit was due for another maintenance visit and this technician was very courteous and he maintenanced and cleaned the unit of all the dust. Prior to that appt I called Hopkins to get an estimate of what a maintenance appt consisted of and what the cost of "cleaning of the dust" would be and they could not even give me an estimate of the cost of cleaning. Needless to say, due to questionable business practices, I will cancel my maintenance contract with Hopkins and do not feel I can refer them to any other homeowner who is looking for a reputable company to do work for them.

Mrs. Sasse, You replaced the unit over a year ago. Why the issue now? You went for the cheaper contractor and we do not do service or replacement at cheap pricing. We refunded your agreement as you said. We have no questionable business practices we always take care of our customers. We cleaned your unit of the dust even though we could have charged more as construction dust is not normal circumstances of a maintenance. I do not understand why you feel the need to try and slander a reputable company. You just want everything done for the cheapest price possible. We are not that company we value our quality of work and not going to play the lowest price game. I feel sorry for your new contractor moving forward.
