AC stopped blowing cold air overnight, Hopkins was quick to find a Tech and send him out the next afternoon. Capacitor had failed. Cost was $500 after signing up for their maintenance program, to change a $40 part...seems rather excessive which is why it was not a 5-star rating. Morale of story, do your annual maintenance and hope your AC doesn't go out in the FL summer.

I purchased a new hvac system from Hopkins just over a month ago and it stopped cooling last night. The technician was great and was able get to us at the end of the day. Unfortunately, he was not able to repair the system, so they have to send another tech with the part to fix the problem another day. The people at Hopkins have been great, but I am completely dissatisfied with the product failing after just over a month. It’s a lot of money to spend and still be uncomfortable in your own home.

Maintenance was good the only challenge was the $400 charge for a $20 Capacitor seems a little excessive

This type of work includes diagnosing the issue, using professional equipment to clear the line, completing the repair to code, testing the system, and standing behind the work with a warranty. I don’t like that. they’re always trying to upsell whenever they perform any service. It’s a real turn off and I’ll be looking for a different option soon.

Sophia was great. Since then, every time the other tech comes out, he pushes hard to upsell. Sometimes he’s successful, but most times it’s blatantly obvious. I don’t like that behavior.

I had Hopkins come for a maintenance appointment Last week and then a follow up today to install an ultraviolet light on the A/C unit and a air scrubber .when the second technician came to do the work he noticed that the filter was put in wrong and showed me the correct way .i told him , it was the tech from the other day that put it in wrong he also said i should be flushing the pipe with something totally different than the 1st tech said .Honestly this makes me concerned as what else did the tech not do correctly. Would like to see about someone coming out and making sure no other mistakes were made .would love to hear from a supervisor. Also the 1st tech said I needed 2 additional products . Did I really need or was it a sales pitch. I know the company gets great reviews and that is why I went with them but not reassuring as I spent a lot of money .i must say the techs were friendly and prompt and professional .

Your men replaced the coil in my attic two weeks ago and left the light on until today. The light could have left for six months.

Technician was prompt. Right after Technician departed my system started making a loud noise which it was not making before his maintenance. I called Hopkins immediately and they sent the technician back to my house to determine what was causing the problem. He identified the issue as something with the drainage pump which he resolved. The pump now intermittently is making the same loud noise. I'll live with it until I replace the 17 year old system. I chose not to go with Hopkin's Rheem system and will go with a company who will install a Daikin system at @2K USD less.

UPDATE: I'd like to retract this review from a 5 star to a 3 star. Although we've had good experience with Hopkins previously and I think the person the sent was nice, courteous and great with my dogs. I'm not the one that knows much about AC units; thus, I did not know what I was looking for in terms of the actual service at hand. I was merely giving a good review based on how friendly the person they sent was. He just opened the filter and told me it wasn't even put on properly! He asked if the person was even competent as they couldn't put back a simple filter properly. --- We've had Hopkins AC do our maintenance for the past year and everyone they've sent has been great. Especially Sofia, she was courteous, wore booties and kept her work area clean. The best part, she was great with our two dogs! We have two 10 lbs territorial little terrier that doesn't like anyone coming in our house. I highly recommend Sofia and the team at Hopkins AC.
