The labor cost alot than another company tech but if you go with the company, they don't make mistakes. Thats a guarantee. Their repair work is really good. Maintenance is also good. I hope they can do it a little cheaper for repair in future. Maintenance they charge correct rate though.<br>​So, this is what happened. I called Hopkins after hours and scheduled tech came out and started inspecting the AC on my roof top. When he came down he told me AC motor is bad and capacitor is bad thats why your unit is turning on and off. And he changed the capacitor. Even though I didn't tell him to. But I was nice I said ok no problem. He said it is going to be $300 labor for just the capacitor after I said it is under warranty. Just being a good human I signed to pay it, even though he didn't tell me before replacing. He only had to inspect the unit and tell me the problem. Then he said he will change the AC motor tomorrow and it is going to cost $750 with 20% membership discount.<br>​Tech also told me the unit will get you through the night but it was giving same problem turning on/off which it shouldn't if capacitor is changed. Then I recieved a text from Hopkins work is complete. I got angry that work is pending why it says complete. I texted back about it. He told me he will fix it tomorrow and it says complete because service visit was done. Its still not cooling. So I was like ok its still hot but I will let it go.<br>​My friend who works on AC units has a company. He said estimate for replacing motor is only $300 labor. My neighbor got it done in $250 and didn't get ripped off.<br>​So I called them to get price down and asked the lady on the phone for breakdown. She said getting the part which is in warranty from the company is $175. I told her I got a second quote of $300 labor. So i can give them $300 labor + $175 for getting the part. My neighbor got it done for $200, but I understand a company needs to pay expenses, subcontractors, etc. I work in an installation company so I know how things work. Believe me they pay their tech way less. Long story short, I told her I have been with Hopkins before they took over the company. She talked to manager and accepted my offer as a one time acceptance. So I was ok paying $475 (which should be $375, plus $100 for capacitor). Overall total cost should be $475. Instead I paid $300 capacitor + $475 motor = $775.<br>​I am still with Hopkins though. I will give them another chance. And Last chance.<br>​My unit is 5 years old. 2 years ago when First Air owned this company, pricing was reasonable. They said electricity fluctuations wouldn't damage my motor again. Funny coincidence: breakdown happened right after yearly maintenance. Same thing happened after 2 years with Hopkins—tech came for maintenance, AC broke down right after. Don't know if they jinx it or what, but this happened twice! If it happens a 3rd time and labor is 4-5x higher than normal, I will change company. $750 ($800 w/o discount 🤣) for a $200-$300 job is too expensive. Offer members 50% off and I'll give 5 stars—50% off is still charging double!<br>​-1 star: tech not informing before changing capacitor & AC not working through night.<br>-1 star: overpriced & owner ripping off.<br>+1 star: satisfactory job next day & tech behavior.<br>+1 star: manager and lady giving discount.<br>+1 star: semi annual maintenance.<br>​To whoever replies: Be respectful, I won't take any bullshit. I told exactly what happened. If you don't accept it you are ignorant. Respect customers or run out of business. You don't know which lengths an angry customer can go to. A bad experience customer specially finds you to give 1 star, but good experience won't bother. You request 20 and only 1 gives 5 stars. Fake reviews get tracked and Google flags them. Invoice disapproved. This is the worst $129 that I spent for the diagnostic of the AC. I have no report of how the system works? any freon in the system? And without any evidence of leaking, the company want to charge me $3900 to replace the coil etc ... no testing is done at all. Thank you but no thanks. PS. The system is 5 years old and still under warranty and they don't even care to check if the parts is free or not. PSS. I called another company (Polar Comfort of Lake Worth). They came and confirm that there is no leaks. No freon lost. Home temperature is at 76 which is normal for FL in May. The invoice is sent by HouseCall Pro ... Not sure where the scammer is in this case ...

Miguel got the fan working again, thermostat operating as it should again, reduced the excess condensation that was hurting the system and my health. He connected the thermostat directly to the system and installed a UVC light for me. I don't have enough space to write everything else he did for me during the hours he spent here. Finding Hopkins and Miguel was the best decision I made in a long time.

I purchased a new hvac system from Hopkins just over a month ago and it stopped cooling last night. The technician was great and was able get to us at the end of the day. Unfortunately, he was not able to repair the system, so they have to send another tech with the part to fix the problem another day. The people at Hopkins have been great, but I am completely dissatisfied with the product failing after just over a month. It’s a lot of money to spend and still be uncomfortable in your own home.

HVAC & Duct replacement. The workmanship was great, their integrity OUTSTANDING. One of the units wasn't working 100%. A few service calls later, they replaced the new unit with another. I never asked for the replacment but they didnt like the readings they were getting, apologized to me, and asked if they could replace it with another new, larger unit. They were not the cheapest, honest about that during the sales process, but also stated they do the right thing. And that's exactly what they did! Highly recommend these guys, they will take proper care!

Just would like to say thank you to everyone at Hopkins Air, my AC Fan would not stop blowing no matter what I did, even turning off the breakers to it. I called this morning and Sabrina listened to the concern in my voice and had a tech Eduan there by 1 pm to check things out. Eduan is great has been to my place before and always does a fantastic job, he was able to diagnose quickly what was the issue. Turned out my Blower motor module was blown and had to be replaced, I have been with Hopkins for 10 years they installed this unit for me then and have maintained it since. They were able to find a tech nearby who had a replacement part close by in their truck. So instead of having to wait days for parts and to reschedule for instillation. Eduan went and got it and was back installing within a half hour. He was quick professional and the Unit is working great again. No more issues. Thanks Again to Hopkins Air for doing all the right things, such a great company to deal with.

Have been using Hopkins for 3+ yrs. Needed repair on an AC unit. Miguel diagnosed the problem on the first visit. A part had to be ordered but he was able to temporarily adjust the unit so we could have air on demand. When the part came in, he was able to install it easily and get us back up and running in a normal fashion. Miguel was fantastic. He arrived promptly, was very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Cannot say enough about Hopkins Air Conditioning. This experience started months ago when we called because our AC was not cooling. Talked with David and Chuck who were Oncall. They explained there had been some storms in the area so it may be related to that. They had us reset our unit and call back in 30 minutes, Everything was cooling again. The impressive part … no charge saved them time and us money. Then we had our bi annual maintenance done and Gazi came out. Another professional clean experience. He noticed our unit’s air flow was low. After some investigation found the coil had issue. Ut oh here it comes. He asked if we had a warranty and/or labor warranty. I said I doubt it we don’t normally buy that stuff. Gazi not only was able to get the coils covered by the manufacturer warranty he investigated and found out in our passed records we actually did have a labor warranty. 2nd time Hopkins could have “made money” and did the right thing. Finally Armando arrived to replace the coils right on time, was efficient and clean. AC is cooling and running great. Hopkins Air Conditioning does not only do great honest work when needed they don’t take advantage of situations to make money. In either of the first two examples we could have been charged a service fee and to replace the coil and pay for the labor. All of this came at only the yearly maintenance charge. Thanks Hopkins Air Conditioning for keeping the high quality of your business.

All that was ask was our address. Upon arrival there technician made a quick but complete inspection and identified the problem. He explained their programs and cost. We have used multiple A/C companies in the past. There always seems to be something wrong that is much more expensive than you expected when they come out. This is our second time using Hopkins and both times now they have been quick, thorough, and, most importantly, HONEST! Today they could have told me all kinds of things were wrong with the unit, but it was a simple fix of the thermostat needing to be reset because it wasn’t sending a signal to the outside unit. We will definitely be a lifetime customer anytime we have an issue with our AC moving forward, and highly recommend Hopkins for anyone needing an AC repair.

Excellent customer service! They sent Sophia out immediately to fix an issue with our air conditioning and thermostat and she was amazing! A simple change in the thermostat job turned out to be multiple other problems and she was here for three hours fixing everything! And she did not leave until our air conditioner was working perfectly! By the way, this was with our old air-conditioning system. Hopkins has not yet put in our new air conditioning system due to the fact that we are in the middle of construction and we will wait to put it in. Amazing customer service from the office to the technicians. I would absolutely recommend them!

I have older units that could be damaged with aggressive cleaning, so he worked with great care to perform the appropriate maintenance to assure the units stayed working well in their current state. As he saw things, he had realtime access to prior inspection photos for good comparative assessment for deterioration.
