They clean the Ac but , I think that maintains was very poor, I was thinking that they clean the out site unit with some type of acid and the inside too but not happen. They check the pressure and the refrigerant, and suction the drain line. Is not to bad for the price, but we hope more.

The labor cost alot than another company tech but if you go with the company, they don't make mistakes. Thats a guarantee. Their repair work is really good. Maintenance is also good. I hope they can do it a little cheaper for repair in future. Maintenance they charge correct rate though.<br>​So, this is what happened. I called Hopkins after hours and scheduled tech came out and started inspecting the AC on my roof top. When he came down he told me AC motor is bad and capacitor is bad thats why your unit is turning on and off. And he changed the capacitor. Even though I didn't tell him to. But I was nice I said ok no problem. He said it is going to be $300 labor for just the capacitor after I said it is under warranty. Just being a good human I signed to pay it, even though he didn't tell me before replacing. He only had to inspect the unit and tell me the problem. Then he said he will change the AC motor tomorrow and it is going to cost $750 with 20% membership discount.<br>​Tech also told me the unit will get you through the night but it was giving same problem turning on/off which it shouldn't if capacitor is changed. Then I recieved a text from Hopkins work is complete. I got angry that work is pending why it says complete. I texted back about it. He told me he will fix it tomorrow and it says complete because service visit was done. Its still not cooling. So I was like ok its still hot but I will let it go.<br>​My friend who works on AC units has a company. He said estimate for replacing motor is only $300 labor. My neighbor got it done in $250 and didn't get ripped off.<br>​So I called them to get price down and asked the lady on the phone for breakdown. She said getting the part which is in warranty from the company is $175. I told her I got a second quote of $300 labor. So i can give them $300 labor + $175 for getting the part. My neighbor got it done for $200, but I understand a company needs to pay expenses, subcontractors, etc. I work in an installation company so I know how things work. Believe me they pay their tech way less. Long story short, I told her I have been with Hopkins before they took over the company. She talked to manager and accepted my offer as a one time acceptance. So I was ok paying $475 (which should be $375, plus $100 for capacitor). Overall total cost should be $475. Instead I paid $300 capacitor + $475 motor = $775.<br>​I am still with Hopkins though. I will give them another chance. And Last chance.<br>​My unit is 5 years old. 2 years ago when First Air owned this company, pricing was reasonable. They said electricity fluctuations wouldn't damage my motor again. Funny coincidence: breakdown happened right after yearly maintenance. Same thing happened after 2 years with Hopkins—tech came for maintenance, AC broke down right after. Don't know if they jinx it or what, but this happened twice! If it happens a 3rd time and labor is 4-5x higher than normal, I will change company. $750 ($800 w/o discount 🤣) for a $200-$300 job is too expensive. Offer members 50% off and I'll give 5 stars—50% off is still charging double!<br>​-1 star: tech not informing before changing capacitor & AC not working through night.<br>-1 star: overpriced & owner ripping off.<br>+1 star: satisfactory job next day & tech behavior.<br>+1 star: manager and lady giving discount.<br>+1 star: semi annual maintenance.<br>​To whoever replies: Be respectful, I won't take any bullshit. I told exactly what happened. If you don't accept it you are ignorant. Respect customers or run out of business. You don't know which lengths an angry customer can go to. A bad experience customer specially finds you to give 1 star, but good experience won't bother. You request 20 and only 1 gives 5 stars. Fake reviews get tracked and Google flags them. AC stopped blowing cold air overnight, Hopkins was quick to find a Tech and send him out the next afternoon. Capacitor had failed. Cost was $500 after signing up for their maintenance program, to change a $40 part...seems rather excessive which is why it was not a 5-star rating. Morale of story, do your annual maintenance and hope your AC doesn't go out in the FL summer.

Went with them for an AC replacement and cant recommend them enough for the whole process from the sales call to the install to the service and maintenance. From the getgo they worked to get our business. When our AC died unexpectedly they still offered a deal and showed up the next morning to put in the new one. Install folks were a breeze to work with and a couple months after the install we had an issue...they showed up 45 min later to take a look at it. It was cold during the install so they topped off the coolant. We had our first maintenance today and they notify you of who is coming and when they are going to be there. The tech went above and beyond checking everything and making sure we were happy. For AC the peace of mind is worth it. We talked to alot of people too but these folks consistently went above and beyond. That has continued after the sale.

Eduan, our technician today, arrived promptly (having called that he was on his way), and immediately went to work on our system after we explained the problem we had. We had complete tile renovation done. We had been told the air conditioning system would be turned off completely, but it was not, it was registering 76 degrees, the system was"on/fan" and the door was open, and no furniture was covered. It was a complete dustbowl. Eduan was able to clean it up with a tuneup, although it was a complete mess. He assured us the system would be running well afterward. He was efficient, professional, and courteous and a definite asset to Hopkins Air Conditioning.

As everyone in Florida knows AC is not only essential but it takes a beating in this climate. They managed the job from start to finish effortlessly. It was impressive. The compressor had to be installed on rooftop requiring a crane lift. The scheduling and details of the job were well coordinated. The duo technicians that completed the work were remarkably good at their jobs. Their management and office staff match the performance. We highly recommend this company for all your AC needs. Technician was prompt. Right after Technician departed my system started making a loud noise which it was not making before his maintenance. I called Hopkins immediately and they sent the technician back to my house to determine what was causing the problem. He identified the issue as something with the drainage pump which he resolved. The pump now intermittently is making the same loud noise. I'll live with it until I replace the 17 year old system. I chose not to go with Hopkin's Rheem system and will go with a company who will install a Daikin system at @2K USD less.

I came home to no A/C today. I have a service contract with Hopkin’s Air, so of course, I called them. They went over and beyond my expectations, and had a service man to my house within two hours. That alone would be enough to earn a five star review. On top of that, Eduan, the technician that arrived was outstanding. He diagnosed and fix the problem quickly and neatly. I highly recommend Hopkin’s and Eduan to anyone needing in need of service or a new A/C.

UPDATE: I'd like to retract this review from a 5 star to a 3 star. Although we've had good experience with Hopkins previously and I think the person the sent was nice, courteous and great with my dogs. I'm not the one that knows much about AC units; thus, I did not know what I was looking for in terms of the actual service at hand. I was merely giving a good review based on how friendly the person they sent was. He just opened the filter and told me it wasn't even put on properly! He asked if the person was even competent as they couldn't put back a simple filter properly. --- We've had Hopkins AC do our maintenance for the past year and everyone they've sent has been great. Especially Sofia, she was courteous, wore booties and kept her work area clean. The best part, she was great with our two dogs! We have two 10 lbs territorial little terrier that doesn't like anyone coming in our house. I highly recommend Sofia and the team at Hopkins AC.

I was able to get an appointment quickly. The service was neat and thorough. David was here at the beginning of the time window I was given and he called when he was on his way. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Since in addition to the maintenance, I needed the water line cleared, I was able to schedule an appointment earlier than usual at no extra cost. I also needed a new thermostat since the screen on the old one was no longer legible. David installed a new one and went through the steps for programming it with me. I highly recommend Hopkins Air and David, specifically.

Please ask for John at Hopkins. Everyone at the company is really nice. They will give you a window of 2 hours instead of "maybe" today so you don't have to wait forever. Their annual maintenance package is a great deal. John is fair, prompt and excellent at what he does. I tell all my friends about Hopkins, by far the best service in a long time. I have been with them for 3 years now.
