I meet with Colson on a Monday and my HVAC unit was installed on Wednesday. Colson was very professional knowledgeable, available and responsive to all of my questions and concerns. I received quotes from several different companies and they beat and exceeded my expectations. The great service didn’t just end with Colson, the HVAC installers arrived on time, explained everything pertaining to the job in details and walked me through the project every step of the way. The work area was left spotless. I was so impressed when the installer took the time to remove his shoes before entering inside my home. Hopkins air is the way to go for all of your HVAC needs.

Had an issue with a leak in our AC unit for a home we recently purchased. I contacted them last night through google and got a call first thing at 7:30 this morning to let me know someone would be by between 10-12. Allan showed up promptly around 10:30 and signed us up for the yearly maintenance fixing our issue. He was quick, professional and very efficient. Highly recommend! ___ Update Feb 2026, we got a new AC system installed for an amazing price. Everyone we worked with was super helpful and made the process very simple. We will continue to use John Hopkins for our maintenance going forward.

The quality, efficiency, and care that went into completely replacing my AC was unbelievable. I signed for the replacement Saturday, and they were ready early Monday morning! The job required extra attention as they had to entirely disassemble the new air handler AND the old one in order to remove/install them from within the attic. I don’t know anything about installing AC units but I imagine my setup was a nightmare of a job. But Andres and his colleague handled it with grace and put on a masterclass in AC replacement. I genuinely can’t thank them enough. Seriously, if you need your AC repaired or replaced. Give Hopkins a call. Yeah … AC work always has an annoying price tag associated with it. But cheap AC isn’t good. And good AC isn’t cheap. With that said, they were flexible on some components and even threw in extra products and services for free. At the end of the day it's worth every penny. It’s quality equipment that was installed by highly skilled professionals. Overall a top notch experience - highly recommend!

Do not use this company! They gave us a quote for $3,577 to replace items that did not need to be replaced, and they suggested the entire unit might need to be replaced as well. We called another company for a second opinion, and they fixed the issue for $250.

I have been using Hopkins for air conditioning maintenance and repair for the past year and a half. I have never been disappointed in the service. The maintenance technician, Edoun, certainly appeared technically very skilled, and he was patient, courteous and cognizant of the cost in making recommendations to prolong the life of the 7 year old air conditioner, which I took. The price for the maintenance and addition of a booster was reasonable. I would highly recommend Hopkins.

We chose to work with Hopkins based on their stellar reviews - and their service did not disappoint! We first met with John Johnson the (sales manager) for the initial estimate. John took his time to thoroughly explain what he thought was the best solution to resolve our problems with the older unit and lack of insulation we had in our home. John was available via text throughout the initial estimate process quickly answering any additional questions or concerns we had before we signed the contract. On the day of install we had two great guys - Yoan and Alberto. Both very polite, professional, and diligent workers. They worked meticulously, efficiently, and made sure to clean up their mess before leaving. They also went over how to operate the system and made sure to show us their work was completed after each major instillation step (outside unit, air handler, blown insulation). We even had the field supervisor Pedro stop by midday to check on the instillation process. We would highly recommend Hopkins! They were great to work with - and we were super excited to have a very nicely cooled home just a within a few hours of the instillation!

After a lengthy conversation with the owner who reached out to me so we could discuss the quote I received from the technician yesterday he explained to me that it is possible that the tech could have gotten a false positive diagnosis on the compressor being shot when in actuality it was not which did make sense to me. I wish I didn’t react so fast to write a bad review before speaking to the owner of the company it was completely wrong on my part he did go above and beyond by returning the money for the service fee back to me for any inconvenience that his employee caused which he did not need to do with that being said I definitely would use him in the future now I see why he has so many outstanding reviews

I initially left a 5-star review for Hopkins AC after a great first experience with Ramon, who was professional and excellent. However, every service since has been disappointing. During an insulation installation, they sent two inexperienced technicians who admitted it was their first time and even asked me if they were doing it right. Worse, I caught them on video snooping through a box on my patio, which was completely unacceptable. Additionally, I have a paid service contract with Hopkins, but they refused to maintain my new AC unit (installed by another company due to Hopkins’ high quote) and wouldn’t issue a refund. The service rep, Cathy, was rude and kept interrupting me on the phone. I’m extremely disappointed with their unprofessionalism and lack of customer care. I’ll be posting the video evidence of the technicians’ behavior. Avoid this company.

We have been using Hopkins Air since we moved to Florida 3 years ago and always had a wonderful experience. The technicians are super friendly, very professional and always took good care of us. So recently we decided to replace our old unit, the experience has been 5 stars all the way. The sales rep came in the same day, explain our options, did not try to oversell us anything that we do not need, no pushy, very patient, and even let us get more quotes from others before we made decisions. The technician came in on Saturday because we have young kids and elderly in the house, they made effort to come out as soon as possible, the technicians, Calvin and Kavel came early in the morning, explained their installation process and timeline, finished everything ahead of time, we had AC running early afternoon and it cools the house just like the rep described. The technicians cleaned up the work areas before they leave. We highly recommend give them a try, we have used other companies in the area and they are absolutely our favorite.

Just had my ac updated.Hopkins came checked out my old unit which was 25 years old. Needed a fan motor which they said cast $1000. Not worth fixing. Gave me some options, they offered financing for 18 months at 0% no down payments. Which worked for me. I Ask them when can they install it. They said next day. Which they did. They were her next day at 8am and done by 12pm. Did a professional job, and cleaned after themselves. . BUT! Did not informed me that I should get UV lights. Which know I have mildew and have to spend a additional $500 to install them. Lack of information. Should have been told up front..

I am very disappointed with two experiences I had with Hopkins AC. I needed a new AC at a property and had received several estimates from Hopkins and 2 other vendors. The Hopkins estimate was $8000.00 dollars for the unit and one of the other estimates was $5000.00 so I selected this vendor. At that time I had Hopkins for my annual maintenance plan and when I called them to do a service 6 months after the new unit was installed they would not service my AC unit because I did not purchase it from them. I was shocked at this decision and called the owner who was not very nice in terms of customer service. He had every excuse in the world as to why his quote was 3000.00 more than the vendor I selected. I immediatley told him I wanted to cancel my service with them and be refunded the yearly maintenance contract charge, which he did. I then had another property under contract with Hopkins and they came out and serviced the unit but when I asked why they left all the construction dust that had built up in the unit due to building concrete restoration I was told by the technician that he would come back and clean the unit. He even took pictures of the dust in the unit. I waited for his follow up and it never happened. Six months later the unit was due for another maintenance visit and this technician was very courteous and he maintenanced and cleaned the unit of all the dust. Prior to that appt I called Hopkins to get an estimate of what a maintenance appt consisted of and what the cost of "cleaning of the dust" would be and they could not even give me an estimate of the cost of cleaning. Needless to say, due to questionable business practices, I will cancel my maintenance contract with Hopkins and do not feel I can refer them to any other homeowner who is looking for a reputable company to do work for them.

Mrs. Sasse, You replaced the unit over a year ago. Why the issue now? You went for the cheaper contractor and we do not do service or replacement at cheap pricing. We refunded your agreement as you said. We have no questionable business practices we always take care of our customers. We cleaned your unit of the dust even though we could have charged more as construction dust is not normal circumstances of a maintenance. I do not understand why you feel the need to try and slander a reputable company. You just want everything done for the cheapest price possible. We are not that company we value our quality of work and not going to play the lowest price game. I feel sorry for your new contractor moving forward.

Mr. Devlin, Your expectations of paying $130 to unclog a heavily impacted drain line due to a lack of routine maintenance is unreasonable. Everything cost more is 2024 not just for the consumer but as business as well. There is a reason First Air is no longer servicing you as their pricing was just not profitable. Also, the old owners have informed me as I understand you complained every time First Air came out and gave you prices you was also trying to negotiate prices with them. We are not into "Lets make a deal" business we are an air conditioning business. We have been in business since 1988 and have seen a lot of price increases since then. We gave you a price and you declined. That is your right. To leave a 1 star review simply over a quoted price is unfair when you was happy otherwise with our service we provided. Just so anyone reading this review understands that price of $463.50 included a 1 year maintenance agreement that allowed us to come back out 2 more times in the next year to PREVENT problems like yours. So the price was just not for that service that day but additionally for 2 more services moving forward. Good luck on your adventures of finding the cheapest man to do your work. The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the cheap price is forgotten.

The Hopkins service tech was polite, honest and knowledgeable, but Hopkins is very overpriced and I do not like their policy of paying in full in advance. I am a Senior Citizen and we just paid $463 for a AC drip line flush and basic system inspection from Hopkins, that is after bargaining them down from $520 ! The service tech said he was just following company policy. The service tech was at our house for about 30-45 minutes and used no parts that I know of to complete the job, other than cleaning fluid. A different AC company with a similarly polite and knowledgeable tech charged us $129 for a similar flush and AC system inspection on another property we own. We felt taken advantage of by Hopkins we are not happy, and we will not be using Hopkins again.

Mrs. August please tell the whole story. YOU called us for an emergency service call after hours. You called in saying that the thermostat was 81 and rising and not cooling. The tech was dispatched to your home at 7:40pm, arrived 8:16pm, finished 9:43pm! Your claim of 30-45 minutes is not true. If you was not happy with the charge to clear your heavily clogged drain line you could have refused service and my technician could have left to go eat dinner with his family. Instead you signed for approval of the price and than signed again for the payment on our invoice. Why did you not call the mentioned other ac company that charged you $129 in the first place? Oh wait let me guess they do not work past 5pm or they did not answer the phone, correct? To leave a 1 star review when the only concerns you had was price is totally unfair. The bottom line is you were not cooling before we arrived and was cooling when we left and that was with your signed approval.

We were very disappointed! Hopkins has been servicing our home 2 units well for the last couple of years. We asked them for a quote for our rental unit. They were much higher than another company who we ultimately used. Over the weekend, one of our home units went out. My husband called for support. At first a tech said they could come in two days. Then another man called back and told him that because we didn’t use them for the rental unit install, they would not service us. My husband told him they had just been out for home maintenance in April, but Hopkins said they still wouldn’t come. We were shocked! I am responding to your reply. Your estimate was for a different address from our service contract and we were giving you the option to bid on it. Your estimate was almost double the price of the company we selected. Your prices are high and we have paid them in the past. We will not be in the future as your loyalty cannot be relied upon.

You see we actually have a live person answer the phones on a holiday weekend. Those services cost money. There is a reason why we charge more because we offer more. The techs and are courteous and do good work but I cannot excuse my recent experience. I do not recall the people who quoted me, installed the equipment, and the maintenance tech before this one mention anything to me. Only when my maintenance was expiring do I have any quotes for duct work. That is not information you use to leverage $600 worth of work and try to sell a $2000 system with a maintenance renewal. This is extremely frustrating as I take having a sanitary home very serious. The work I'm being quoted for is something that should have been noticed and mentioned prior.

We usually ask the customer how long they want their system to last and ask permission if we find anything to bring to their attention that would hinder the unit not to lasting to the customers expectations. After that we give customer all information and let them decide what is important to them. If they elect to do nothing that is always perfectly fine. My techs would not be building value if they did not go through your entire system on a "preventative maintenance" and at the very least bring their findings to you.

Hopkins A/C does not honor the quotes it gives. It changed a written quote given on 11/30/23 by phoning one day later and asking for a $700 increase to the agreement. They did not even do the semi-annual work for which they were already paid. The a/c filter was not changed as it was supposed to be. Beware if you consider doing business with Hopkins A/C.

EDIT: Rich, the GM, gave me a call and we took care of the issue. Was refunded the amount for the service that was not completed and apologized for what happened. Refund was prompt and they are working on resolving any issues, which is a good look. Overall, Hopkins has taken care of this and we can move on. I would still suggest the company as a whole adjusts their pricing or revamps some services to have JUST a "drain flush" to avoid the issues of the high price. This would allow a 5* Initial: I called to get someone out to my house for a drain purge on my system. Tech arrived and informed that the bill will be $420 unless I buy their annual package, which would drop it 20% ($90, service pack $250). Wanted it done as I was at work and could not handle it myself. Tech called back 45 minutes later saying they couldn't fix it and need to charge me an additional $150. I told him no and I would take care of it myself. Left work, stopped at home depot for a $25 dollar snake, proceeded to clean and had it cleared in LITERALLY 20 minutes. On top of this highly over charged fee, my AC now makes a gurgling sound after this tech supposedly cleaned the system and did their checklist. Called to get some resolution to this and for the last 2 weeks have been told someone will call me.........nobody has yet to call me even after I have called three times now.

The service man was friendly and professional but this company is extremely overpriced. They charged $600 to drain an exterior a/c drain pipe. After checking with other A/C companies, this is a service that should cost at most $250. They used a shop vac and it took about twenty minutes to complete. I will never use them again.

All our calls our time stamped using both phones and vehicles, and our technician arrived at your home at 4:36pm and left at 6:07pm. He was dispatched within an hour of you calling us. This type of promptness in the service industry is nearly unheard of. You called us with a problem with your unit and the tech left with your problem solved and had you back up cooling. We are also very upfront with our pricing and obtain signatures prior to work being done, after services rendered and at time of payment. I see on this invoice that you personally signed approving the cost of the repair, that you were satisfied with our service and upon payment. If you thought price was too high for your budget, you simply could have declined the needed repairs and only pay our diagnostic fee. The other companies that told you would have been as you described in and out in 20 minutes for $250. We not only cleared your drain line but also went through your entire system while on site, checked all your pressures and tightened up all your components, and took pictures to show our workmanship. This is the same unit that someone prior to us used thermostat wire to hold up a horizontal drain pan in your attic. This is a valuable lesson in you get what you pay for. We never claim to be the cheapest and apologize that we do not fit your budget. But we will never apologize for providing top notch service with hands down the highest caliber technicians in South Florida, while standing behind our workmanship. Whoever installed your system should not be a contractor in South Florida. Good luck in the future.

I recently had my AC repaired by this company, and while they were professional in their approach, I couldn't help but feel their pricing was way above the market rate. Like many others, they charge a set fee for the initial visit, which would be credited to any subsequent repair costs. This would be acceptable if the repair costs were reasonable. However, without a prior estimate or a clear breakdown, I was blindsided by a bill that seemed almost double what I expected. I had a quote to flush the ac drain for $250. But because it was weekend and the company didn’t have anyone until Monday, I called Hopkins. They charged me $454! The lack of transparency in their pricing structure left me feeling that the system is geared against the customer. I believe potential clients should be wary and always ask for a quote upfront.

That is after our tech had been running calls all day servicing customers when other companies don't answer their phones. We fixed your problem and got you back cooling. Our pricing for this is very fair. What you also failed to mention is that the technician did present you with all costs before performing any work and you did approve the cost with signatures. Please also keep in mind had your normal company did a better maintenance on your unit there would have been no service call to begin with as this was a preventative maintenance issue. ***Updated Review: We’ve used this company since they used to be called First Response A/C. They installed our current a/c unit 3 years ago and we’ve used them for maintenance every 6 months. We’ve had some issues with our new unit and although Hopkins was quick to address these issues, it started to feel like we got a bad lemon unit. Recently, AC compressor went out and their pricing to replace (with warranty coverage on the part) was completely outrageous and it became apparent to us that we had become a cash cow for this company ($200 maintenance package yearly + $$ for service calls). We decided to get a second opinion and the other company was shocked that we’ve had a maintenance agreement since it appears Hopkins failed to notice a refrigerant leak (which contributed to the compressor failing). All in all I feel ripped off and mislead by this company. Please find another provider that is honorable, does their due diligence at each service, and charges fair prices. ————— OLD Review —————— They are always quick to respond to calls. Family Roots, There is alot of misleading and inaccurate information in this review. First, Hopkins Air NEVER sold you your unit, First Response did. That company is no longer in business. We have no affiliation with First Response at all. I recall you spoke with our service manager after we properly diagnosis you had a bad compressor. You was not happy with price so you called another company (Swabys Ac) and they confirmed the same issue as a condemned compressor. You said that you was going to go with them due to the pricing be better for your budget needs and we understood. As a matter of fact we also offered if you needed anything moving forward let us know. Your compressor was grounded which means it was an electrical not mechanical failure. Reply to management/ownership(again): Spare your “working man” speech, I am a “working man”. We had air after your tech left because he disconnected the functional float valves until an actual experienced trustworthy licensed technician came out and re-connected the valves and properly diagnosed and fixed the unit. The same valves are there, nothing was replaced, apparently the main valve had a slight stick and it was tripping as if their was water leaking, which it wasn’t. So when your tech said the main floater needed to be replaced AND the back up floater as well, it was completely incorrect and he disconnected the safety mechanism to make it work. But that’s not my ONE QUESTION TO YOU, which is why are you charging 30X the cost for a simple $28 part?? Why are you charging $600? Why are you price gauging people on simple parts? I could see 2X or even 3X the cost for a simple part for after hours service but 30X?!!! 30X the cost…it’s the type of service and business you run that gives other hard working business owners poor reputations and make customers skeptical of your work. Get your prices in line, have some integrity. UPDATE: To the "owner" that replied, your "assessment" was in fact incorrect, the float valves are functional and both intact, that's a fact, come out and verify for yourself, but when you do, post that you were incorrect. You've got to do only the work required, don't encourage your techs to over charge people. Also, I never called my tech while yours was there, I looked up the price of the part that didn't need to be replaced. I also positively commented on the response time, which is great but not at the cost of a misdiagnosis and a complete gauging on the mark up. How do you justify charging nearly $600.00 for a $25 part? If anything else, answer that question for your potential customers that want a fair price and service. Why is your mark up 23X the cost of the actual part? Forget about the misdiagnosis your tech provided, answer why your mark up is 23X the actual cost of the part? You did the wrong thing here, maybe overall you guys don't do that but you lost here, admit it, fix it and don't price gauge customers, be better than the rest, not a hog. It’s a shame because I originally gave this company a good review but after having another experienced tech look at the AC unit the next day it was revealing. Hopkins AC answered the call and dispatched their tech promptly after I called at 6pm, he arrived by 7:30. He originally diagnosed that my float valves were non functional and he had a replacement on the truck. I looked up the part it cost about $25, unfortunately he had to charge $566.00 for the part due to the company mark up apparently. I didn’t want to pay that because I know an AC tech who was available the following day. The rep from Hopkins said he could disconnect the float valve and it would run fine as long as it didn’t leak for some reason. I took the chance and let him do that, paid the $129 service fee and had AC that night. The 30 plus yr tech I know came out the following day and tested everything in front of me and explained and proved, there was in fact nothing wrong with the float valve and reconnected it, and the unit functioned perfectly. It’s either someone not familiar or experienced enough from Hopkins or they intentionally tried to get me to pay $566.00 for a $25 part. Either way it should be addressed by the company immediately.

Update: Sir, you contacted us with no air after hours. We didn't call you. When we arrived within an hour, you had no air; when we left, you did. We got you back up and running and only charged you a trip charge. Sounds like a great deal. There is a lot of costs that go into running a legitimate contracting business. I would have understood a 3 or 4 star because of price that was not within your budget. We stand behind our diagnosis and our super fast service and response time. The capacitor needing replacement is covered under my warranty. and so is the motor as well. So I'm paying for labor to install the motor. Sorry you feel you did not have 5 star service. It is expensive nowadays to run a business especially during inflated economy. Please keep in mind it is the behind the scene work that customers never see or take into account. We have to spend time looking for these parts, ordering parts, picking up parts, return visit to actually do the work, return part back, and lastly process warranty claim. There's also taxes, insurances, licenses, vehicles expenses, and other overhead; in addition to the labor warranty to we offer all of our repairs. There is a ton more involved than just the actual work onsite. I would be more than happy to talk to you and see if we can find a resolution that works for both parties. At the end of the day customer service is top priority but we can not do things for free either.

They were very responsive and arrived on time. Sadly this is not the norm for many contractors, so I give them props here. They showed zero interest in fixing a 20 year old unit (I expected that). So no deductions, it needs to go. However, they verbally quoted me 9K for a 4 ton unit (did no provide any additional details or documents). I was told it was expensive because they pay their employees $30/hr. Two people can install in AC in under 8 hours easily. So that's a silly answer, do the math. You can buy a 4 ton 16 seer Goodman online for 4k (5k through Amazon) after taxes. An additional 4-5k for parts and labor seems excessive. The next quote I received came in at $6800 without any negotiation.

Customer service has eroded over the years, but not with Hopkins Air Conditioning. They live by it, they believe in it, and that is a very important thing. I had a gentleman name, Tino come and maintenance, my air conditioner, and he did such a good job, I was watching over everything he was doing, and he was so kind and considerate, and literally explained everything he was doing. I couldn’t talk to him as much, because I work from home and I was on my desktop working. I had an ultraviolet light installed to ensure that any mold inside the air-conditioning system in my condo stayed free of allergens and bacteria and other micro organisms that could float through the air. I was referred to Hopkins after losing air conditioning last summer and hearing from my old company that it would be several days before they could come and fix it. I called Hopkins and they came over right away, fixed the issue, and signed me up for a service contract. Hopkins is very professional, on time, extremely organized, and not expensive. They setup an appointment time, send a reminder/confirmation the week prior, and call when they are close by so you know they are arriving. The technician that has come to my home knew my system like the back of his hand and spent time educating us on what’s going on with it and what he’s doing to make it better. This sets Hopkins apart. I have more confidence in a technician that explains what/why they are doing the job instead of just coming and going. Hopkins was also very reasonable and their price is less than I would expect for the service I’m provided. Doesn’t get any better then that.

We've been using Hopkins air for about 2 years, we had to buy a new system cause our coil failed and it was the second time so it made sense to get a new system. (it was an established defect of our system at that time). That purchase and installation went great and we've been using them for maintenance since than just to keep it running good. Also we got super low interest financing. Adam came out today to do our service and found we had a pretty bad mold issue in there. His advice was to add a couple UV lights and a thorough cleaning of the coild and duct work so we got the lights installed and tomorrow we're having a deep cleaning in the Duct works and because i have a maintenance contract I saved 20%. He was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed our conversation as he worked. Actually every one who has come out has been great. Always professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and friendly. I never feel like I'm being sold, they just tell me what I need and I decide. Also they are always able to work with my schedule and we have had 1 emergency where they were able to get someone out the same day. So I really can't recommend them enough!

Amazingly quick and efficient! Estimated appointment time was between 1-4pm and he was on his way by 12:30. The half hour heads up is so convenient. 10/10 Will recommend. Realized A/c broke by midday, called and was told somebody would be out in the next 3 hours, and to my surprise somebody was over in an hour. Jonathan arrived and was professional from start to finish. He addressed all of my questions and was very knowledgeable. Would love to work with him again should any issues arise in the future! Price wise seemed very reasonable, along with offering options of just the repair or repair and adding maintenance plan.

When I say READ THE REVIEWS, I mean it. I taught my mother to do so and when her AC was blowing 88 degrees and we were melting in her house, right to Google we went. She searched through various options for the area and saw the reviews for Hopkins Air and loved everything she saw. The reviews did NOT lie. This company is wonderful from top to bottom; and I don't just hand out compliments and beautifully written reviews for just anyone (haha) John showed up the next day to my mother's house and began checking everything. My mother cannot move on her own right now as she fractured her leg. John had the unfortunate displeasure of having to let us know that the person who was formerly working on her AC unit was putting in the WRONG refrigerant. Not only was John able to find us an affordable new unit, but a great payment plan, and immediate installation the next morning. When I tell you, the 2 guys that came to install the unit, worked their butts off to get the house to cool off. By 5pm the house was down to 73 and we could breathe. This company is knowledgeable, genuine, and works WITH their customers to make sure WE walk away feeling secure and staying cool in this heat. Trust the reviews. They don't lie!!

My AC stopped working overnight on an extremely hot holiday weekend night of Memorial Day weekend. I called the answering service at 8:35 AM and set up an appointment for the same day between a 1-4 PM window. I asked that a technician call me ahead of time to give me an estimate. He did. When I explained the situation and the fact that I use oxygen to breathe due to the extreme outside temperature, he offered to come within 1-2 hours. In fact he showed up at 9:45 AM. Chuck was the service repairman and was quick, courteous, neat, and thorough. He explained what the issue was and what he would do to resolve the problem. Everything was quick and easy from my initial call to the time that Chuck left. I would highly recommend Hopkins Air Conditioning without any reservations and am confident that you will not be disappointed, if you choose to use them. I am a physician with terminal cancer who has very high standards. Not only did Hopkins Air Conditioning and Chuck meet my expextations, they far exceeded them.

Update 5/28/21 Patrick came for routine service. Most thorough and efficient. Explained what was done and answered questions thoroughly. He is welcome to be our maintenance tech. Great unit installed last year. See prior review below. I started as a customer of Hopkins Air more than twelve years ago. They installed and serviced my original unit over the years. Always most efficient. I had a new unit installed last week. The installation process was well orchestrated and the techs took great care to keep me posted on the time frame as the installation progressed and also maintained distancing. They were well organized, used drop cloths and took out all the old equipment without issue. The installation of the new unit was smooth and they had it up and running by the estimated time. Hopkins is fully electronic with respect to their paperwork so I have an easily accessible record of everything. A nice final touch was the thank you card sent via US Mail. Although Hopkins is state of the art when it comes to service, installation, communication and follow up, it still has that personal touch when it comes to customer service and communication. Recommend highly!

Extremely quick response time and loved that I was able to book online & have a tech out in less than 3 hours (at 9pm at night mind you). Aaron, my technician, was very knowledgeable & helpful. Original quote was extremely high but was able to haggle it down to a still high but more manageable price (ended up paying about half of the original quote to get an idea of the crazy industry markup). Due to pricing & push for ongoing maintenance agreement from the office, it felt more like a 4 star experience but I felt Aaron went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the services by the end. Would recommend but make sure they keep there pricing in check.

Called to get an estimate on a bad compressor under warranty. They stated they needed to come out and check it. No problem. They were out at the house in great time. After paying $130 the technician gave me an estimate of $1900 for labor to replace it! I told them that the part was under warranty and surely they included the part in the estimate. Nope. So $2400 including the compressor to replace it??? I could literally get a new unit for that price! I priced it out with a competitor and he fixed it for $500. Totally wasted $130. Complete joke.

Hopkins is one of the best companies I have ever worked with. Richard my tech was amazing at fixing my AC and was profiecent in his work. Exetremly professional. This company sets the bar high for customer service. See my day started out with me trying to install a brand new theromstat. When I put it in no cold air was blowing. So I tried putting the old theromstat on then my AC unit would not work at all or turn on. Now my son who is only ten month has severe asthma and has to use a neabilzer every night. So as the heat started to build and I realized I couldn’t fix this problem I started to become exetermly nervous. To hot of air and my son has a hard time breathing. At this time it was 10:30pm on a Sunday. I started to look up 24/7 HVAC companies. I called 20 place that advertised This on their website and every single place told me they couldn’t Get a tech out till the morning or a tech would call back and never did. I was furious as to why they advertised this but the service they didn’t actually offer. It was now 1am and it was 85 degrees in my house. I finally came across Hopkins and called. At first I received an answering machine and I thought here I go again so I left my information with a callback number. Within two minutes Richard called me back and explain all the fees and was up front and honest. He said he could come out right way and he actually did. Out of 20 places the only person who actually offered the services was Hopkins. Richard came out and was exetemely kind and professional. He fixed my AC and was honest about the problem. They had reasonable prices compared to most places and Richard went above and beyond to get the job done. I will always recommend this company going forward and use them for all my AC maintence needs. I can’t thank this company enough for helping me sleep well knowing my son is going to be okay.
